Our history as a territory - and finally as a state in 1912 - is filled with the most interesting characters and tales of adventure. Maybe that's why so many people are drawn back to Arizona each year in winter. If you come here, you will be, too. I ran afoul of my teachers for drawing cartoons on my tests and homework as a child, began painting in oils at age 11, and was a salaried and freelance professional graphic designer for several decades.
