This is a 5 inch by 7 inch watercolor in an 8 inch x 10inch handcut light brown Crescent mat. Ready to slip into an 8X10 inch frame. It was painted with Winsor & Newton Watercolors on heavy acid free Strathmore Quality Watercolor paper. The painting is signed and dated on the front by the artist, me Mary Mapes. Titled, signed on the back and comes with cerificate of authenticity. *The painting comes with a clear protective finish in a clear sleeve. MONITORS may vary as to color. About the Artist: I am a Self-Representing Artist who lives and works on a rural farm in lower Michigan. I have owned and trained horses all my life. As a youngster we farmed with horse, rodeod and raced in the summers. My high-schooled horse (trick performing horse) went to college with me and helped pay my way. After college, I taught a few years and raced and trained harness horses. I met my husband, a professional and successful owner, trainer and driver. We married and raised our children while racing year around until our oldest reached high-school age when I returned to teaching art and general ed. I am now retired and returning to my art full time. In my younger days I did show my work and have a number of awards. I have been represented in several newspapers. My art can be found hanging in homes all around the US and some International. I do mainly custom work such as portraits, pet and people or paint just about anything a client desires.
