This striking photo print was originally shot in 1915 by W. S. Bowman. The superb shot of rodeo star Bonnie McCarrol, a popular bronc-riding champion, caught her mid-air after being thrown from the bucking horse, Silver, at the Pendleton Round-Up in Pendleton, Oregon. She was trampled to death in a bronc-riding event in 1929; afterward, the round-up committee dropped bronc-riding as a woman's sport. The photo is reproduction, new, and measures approximately 8 x 10 inches (image).
